White Beach, Puka or Bulabog: which Boracay beach?
Updated October 28, 2026 · 4 min read
White Beach is the easiest all-round choice, Puka Beach suits a quieter scenic stop, and Bulabog Beach is the activity shore. They are not interchangeable, and the best one can change with wind, sea conditions and what you want to do.
White Beach: easiest for a full day
White Beach runs along Boracay’s western side and concentrates accommodation, food and sunset activity. The sand is the attraction, but the busy sections are not secluded. Choose it when convenience, swimming time and an easy return to your hotel matter. Motorised activities may meet away from the swimming area, so confirm the pickup point rather than looking for equipment on the sand.
Puka Beach: a scenic northern stop
Puka Beach is commonly included on island and land tours. It has fewer continuous resort facilities than White Beach, which is part of its appeal, but it also means less shelter and fewer easy backup options. Sea conditions can be rougher. Bring what you need and treat the stop as a beach visit, not a promise of calm swimming.
Bulabog Beach: wind and water sports
Bulabog lies on the eastern side. It is known as the island’s wind-sport beach, particularly in the windy Amihan season from November to April. Choose it for kites and activity rather than the classic White Beach sunset. Equipment, lessons and safe operating conditions must be confirmed with the operator on the day.
One trip to compare them
The Boracay Discovery land tour starts at €32.11, lasts three hours and has 4.7 from 53 reviews. Its description promises a tour of Boracay’s beaches but does not name every stop, so check the current route before booking. It works best as an orientation; return independently to the beach you like most.
